**£9.50 an hour if no SVQ Level 2 in Social Services & Healthcare held. £9.75 an hour if SVQ Level 2 in Social Services & Healthcare held.

Qualifications Required:

  • A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes are essential.
  • This post is subject to a PVG Disclosure check.
  • Driving licence and/or access to a car and/or the ability to travel.
  • An SVQ Level 2 in Social Services & Healthcare is desirable but not essential.
  • Where you do not currently hold a Level 2 in Social Services & Healthcare you must be committed to undertaking this qualification. We will provide funding and support to help you to achieve this.

Crossroads delivers high-quality support and care services throughout Perth and Kinross. Our overarching objective is to provide respite care to our wide variety of clients, including elderly, children, severe disabilities, patients in Palliative Care (in the final stages of life), and people with additional support needs to support them to live full and independent lives.

About You

We are looking for upbeat, confident, and energetic people who have the desire to want to support people to have the best life possible. You will provide support for personal care and participation in a range of activities, so energy and initiative is vital and you will develop an open and sensitive communication with supported client, family/friends and other professionals, providing relevant communication support, where appropriate.

You will be committed to encouraging the right of our clients to be consulted about all areas of their life and to assist them to make informed choices and decisions.

You will work in a professional manner, meeting National Care Standards, setting appropriate boundaries, and treating work as confidential.

You must be flexible in your approach to work and it is essential you are able to work shifts. At present we have a variety of support that we provide which includes weekend working, evenings, sleepovers and waking nights.
