Who We Are

Our staff are all registered with SSSC and the majority have either completed SVQ2 or are working towards that end.

We have 46 staff in total, working between 16 and 35 hours per week, depending upon their circumstances. Some staff members have been with us for many years, progressing from Care Attendant to Senior, to Co- Ordinator, and on to Care Manager. Our Service Manager has also worked in the community. This breadth of experience helps to ensure the quality of care we give remains constant, and that the needs of our staff are always taken into consideration.

Our Office Staff

Gill Renton

Gill Renton. Care Manager.

Gill has worked with Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) since 1998, starting as a Care Attendant, and then moving into the office as a Co-Ordinator. She was appointed Manager in 2015, bringing her years of practical experience and organisational insight to her new role.

The provision of quality care is extremely important to Gill, as is the support and well-being of her staff.

In her free time Gill enjoys spending time with family and friends, Aquarobics, and listening to music.

Margo

I have worked with Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) for 19 years, I was a Care Attendant, then a supervisor before coming into the office to work as a Co-ordinator 3 years ago.

I occasionally still carry out care and respite. Crossroads is a good organisation to work for.

Teresa

Teresa

I have worked with Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) since 1997, when I started, the flexibility of working around my young child appealed to me. I had previously worked in an office and different care settings.

Through the years I increased my hours to suit my family life. I enjoy the variety of working with clients and also completing assessments and reviews.

Vicky Carle

Vicky Carle

Vicky came to Crossroads after working for 10 years as a veterinary nurse, she was keen to progress her career with Crossroads and started with covering our on-call.

When we were looking for staff to learn about the office she was keen, and found she enjoyed it so much that she is now training to take over a Co-ordinator role.

Jelena Dordev-Ivanova

Jelena Dordev-Ivanova

Jelena was keen to progress within Crossroads, she has been covering on-call and was keen to take up the opportunity to learn more about the office.

Jelena is now training to take over as a Co-ordinator.

Our Care Staff

Fiona

Fiona

I have worked with Crossroads since 2016 and it is the most worthwhile, satisfying and rewarding job I have had.

A privilege to get alongside others and help make a positive difference to their lives. Each carer can bring something different to the job. I especially like listening to people sharing their memories, having a good singalong, doing something creative, going out for a walk or coffee.

The ongoing training and support ensures I am confident ad prepared in my role.

A great charity to work for!
