Privately funded & Blended Respite Care

We can provide a trained member of staff to care for your loved one while you have a break from your role as carer. This will be arranged for a time that suits you.

Our aim is to provide continuity of care by allocating regular care staff to individual service users, so as they can build a rapport.

Respite care may involve both indoor and outdoor activities depending on your loved one’s requirements. Our staff can stay in your home to care for your relative or can take your loved one out in their car, staff do many different things with service users, depending on their ability. Some of the things that service users enjoy include going for a walk, or a drive and stopping for coffee/lunch. Attending a tea dance, going to the cinema, swimming, attending appointments. Indoor activities include playing dominoes, scrabble, doing crosswords, reading the paper, having tea/coffee or lunch and chat.

Much of our respite care is funded by the local authority.

However, you may be in a position where you are not eligible for the funding, are on a waiting list for funded care, or simply wish to add some additional hours to the care already provided to you by our local authority.

We can assist with all these options.

Please contact us and we will be delighted to help and guide you through the various ways of paying for respite care to allow you to receive the help you desire.

Currently our charge for providing respite care is £29 per hour and £30.50 per hour if you live 9 miles or more from Perth. Single hours may be purchased if this is being added to care provided by the local authority.

If the visit is standalone & only privately funded, then it is a minimum of a two-hour visit.
