Who We Are

Our staff are all registered with SSSC and the majority have either completed SVQ2 or are working towards that end.

We have 46 staff in total, working between 16 and 35 hours per week, depending upon their circumstances. Some staff members have been with us for many years, progressing from Care Attendant to Senior, to Co- Ordinator, and on to Care Manager. Our Service Manager has also worked in the community. This breadth of experience helps to ensure the quality of care we give remains constant, and that the needs of our staff are always taken into consideration.

Our Office Staff

Gill Renton

Gill Renton. Care Manager.

Gill has worked with Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) since 1998, starting as a Care Attendant, and then moving into the office as a Co-Ordinator. She was appointed Manager in 2015, bringing her years of practical experience and organisational insight to her new role.

The provision of quality care is extremely important to Gill, as is the support and well-being of her staff.

In her free time Gill enjoys spending time with family and friends, Aquarobics, and listening to music.

I have worked with Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) for 19 years, I was a Care Attendant, then a supervisor before coming into the office to work as a Co-ordinator 3 years ago.

I occasionally still carry out care and respite. Crossroads is a good organisation to work for.

Teresa

I have worked with Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) since 1997, when I started, the flexibility of working around my young child appealed to me. I had previously worked in an office and different care settings.

Through the years I increased my hours to suit my family life. I enjoy the variety of working with clients and also completing assessments and reviews.

Arrianne

Arrianne

Arrianne has worked in social care for 13 years, coming to Crossroads in April 2019 with a vast amount of experience, she enjoys working on SVQ's coming to us with levels 2 & 3 and was supported by Crossroads to do her level 4 recently.

Arrianne is hoping to start her Leadership and management course in the new year. Since coming to Crossroads Arrianne said she has found it a great experience and the support and encouragement she gets form the management and Board of Directors is fantastic.

Arrianne enjoys meeting new service users and arranging support to suit them.

Fiona

Fiona

I have been a Carer with Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) for 3 years, having previously worked as a primary school teacher and Co-ordinator for Home-start.

Working with Crossroads is such a worthwhile, satisfying and rewarding job. Being out and about in the community, spending quality time, giving care and support, and making a positive difference, enabling the elderly and disabled to remain in their won homes is such a privilege. Each day is different and interesting and may involve anything from supporting someone to get ready for the day ahead, playing a game of dominoes, painting nails, or having a sing song, or going out for a run in the car, chatting about the good old days. Keeping someone company allows their family member to have some much needed time out. The ongoing training and support offered ensures I am confident and prepared in my job role. Crossroads (Perth & Kinross) is a great charity to work for!
